Dr. LaWanda N. Evans empowers and encourages women to love themselves, make healthy relationship decisions, and embrace positive changes in life that lead to happiness and improvement in their emotional and mental health. She helps single women avoid relationship pitfalls, overcome unhealthy relationship patterns, relationship struggles, teaches them how to overcome hurt and let go of the past, to embrace and make room for the relationship God has for them through her signature Relationship Empowerment Coaching Program, The Truth about Your Relationship. She encourages women to believe in themselves, to reach their full potential, to achieve their goals, provides practical solutions for dealing with relationship problems, and helps them identify and overcome obstacles that impact their personal and professional growth, development, and success.

Dr. Evans has a unique counseling style that helps women get to the root cause of their problems and challenges them to confront and deal with the real issues. She is dynamic Speaker, and has served as expert panelist, speaker, blog radio guest, and seminar, workshop and conference speaker on topics such as healthy relationships, self-care for women, depression and women, and youth suicide prevention.

Dr. Evans is an adjunct professor for Argosy University-Dallas and the University of Phoenix, volunteer therapist for Trauma Support Services of North Texas (TSSNT), Program Advisory Board Member for Argosy University, Past President of Dallas Metro Counseling Association, and member of the American Counseling Association, Texas Counseling Association, Christian Counselors of Texas, and the National Association of Christian Women Entrepreneurs.

She has a doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University-Sarasota, a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from Texas Southern University, a Bachelor’s of Science degree in History from Mississippi Valley State University; and, to further her study of the Word of God, she attended Light Bible Institute (now, Hilliard Vocational Bible Institute) at New Light Christian Center Church and earned a diploma of Biblical Studies, a Graduate Diploma of Biblical Studies, and an Advanced Graduate Diploma of Biblical Studies.

Dr. Evans is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Relationship Strategist, Speaker, Writer, and owner of LNE Unlimited Counseling & Emotional Wellness and The Relationship Institute, where she focuses on transforming the lives of women through counseling, coaching, speaking & writing.
