Women cheat too , but it’s always the man that’s to blame…for everything !! Women also have far more opportunities to cheat than men.

There are several reasons for that. As you imply, men have to work at cheating, women only need to consent. Therefore, men are perceived as more responsible.

Every “get more girls” system or advice has one thing in common. Every one advises men to be confident and assertive. Confidence and assertiveness lead to some degree of control over the relationship, therefore men are perceived as responsible for that relationship. Again, the woman need only consent, which is a passive activity.

Wedding vows rarely include “love, honor and obey” any more, but the sentiment is deeply ingrained in our society, if not hardwired into our physical brains. The one who obeys is less responsible than the one who is obeyed.

Women’s liberation has done nothing to liberate women. It has only taught men to be more like women. The old role expectations still exist, and color our perceptions of every interaction between male and female. No matter how loudly the woman screams that she is “equal,” if there is a man in her life, he will be held responsible, whether he is in charge or not. Neither fairness nor reality will ever change that.
