Question: Before I met my boyfriend, my favorite companion was Cleo, my beautiful Pomeranian. My boyfriend has always been friendly with her and would pet her when he came over. Well, lately we have been talking about moving in together and all the places he suggests doesn’t allow pets. Do you think he is trying to tell me something? If I have to make a choice, I choose my dog!
Answer: I can sense you’re taking it kind of personally that your boyfriend isn’t including Cleo in your future, it’s hurting your feelings, yes? I totally get it. Yet have you talked to him about it?
I’m not saying this is what you’re doing, but sometimes people are so overly loving to their pets or children that the boyfriend or husband feels left out… is that possible? Is Cleo the man of the house, not him?
Animals are super amazing because they don’t talk back and they generally love us unconditionally no matter what we do.
Boyfriends on the other hand (and girlfriends of course) can talk back, have differences in opinions and require spiritual evolution to get along with 🙂
What if you didn’t have to choose between your boyfriend or your dog but had an evolution in your communication skills and your relationship grew even closer? If you’d like some help getting there, that’s my specialty 🙂 Go to AllanaPratt.com/connect and apply for a complementary strategy session… It might not be a bad idea for the two of you to do some sessions to set the stage for a successful relationship moving in together… most people wait until shit hits the fan to call me, maybe you’ll be one of those smart proactive ones that sets yourself up to win 🙂 Yes?
All my love XO XO
